Must Downloads?

First off, I apologize for what I imagine is the 1,000th thread of this type.

Second off, what are the key downloads that I need off the STEX to get started?  Transport packs, dependencies, BATs, etc.  Anything.   What are the must downloads?

NAM from the mods and downloads section is probably numero uno for everyone in this site. I also downloaded many mods by Andreas Roth, Cogeo, Mikeseith, and many others. Just take a quick look at the 'Most Popular' Sections in the STEX. Remember, if you find that a dependency is locked for an upload, check sc4devotion.com and register in their BSC LEX, many dependencies have moved to that site in the last couple of months. Basically, I'd suggest to go and look around CJs, ask them what they use, and ask for links of buildings that you like. Make sure to use the search function, since it's very useful. If you're looking for say, the Eiffel Tower, search eiffel on the STEX and it'll take you straight to the download Also, some bats from nofunk and Jason are a must, especially for American styled cities Hope this helped a little. There are really NO MUST DOWNLOADS.. maybe NAM.. and of course all the updates from the simcity site (maxis). Get comfortable with the game before you start worrying much about custom content.
