Hi everyone,

I am new to Simtropolis, but I've been playing Sim City 4 Rush Hour for years. I downloaded and installed everything in your "essentials". When I was about to install Transit Supermod V2.0, I noticed I didn't really know what 3 to drag in. I don't really know what each of those files mean. Can someone send me link, or explain it to me or perhaps I just missed it somewhere in the forums.

Thank you for your help.

The NAM has replaced that modd.  It remains available for people who don't want all the features of the NAM.  Frankly, I wouldn't bother.

I'm finding that the NAM is breaking a lot of transportation pieces. Case 1 Rail networks no longer work and RR Xings (normal) cause streets, roads, avenues to become broken meaning cars cannot use them. Case 2 Avenue intersections are broken meaning cars cannot use them.

Is there a way to only include the pathfinding and speed/capacity upgrades found in the NAM while omitting the fluff that breaks objects that we previously perfectly functional?

htdefiant, if you installed the other files included on that Essentials list besides the NAM, I would recommend that you remove those as well.  They are all 4-year old, antiquated files which will conflict with NAM April 2008, and can cause the NAM not to function properly (except Plugin Landmark Props, which was made obsolete by an official Maxis/EA Update).

I'd strongly recommend just using the NAM by itself, and would recommend using one of the "A" options for the Traffic Plugin, as it is the most up-to-date one available.  The NAM Readme, and the thread here will explain things in detail.

Magonushi: Is your copy of the game by any chance Left-Hand Drive (i.e. cars driving on the left side of the road)?

If so, you'll need to select the NAM Left Hand Drive Plugin when installing the NAM.

Hope that helps!
