custom content for CU

I am just wondeirng when CU comes out will people in Simtropolis,Will make custom content for CU or will thier be

section in Simtorpolis like the STEX where you can download user created content or mods for CU?

Well I sure hope so, although we haven't even seen the in game content yet so aren't we getting a bit ahead of ourselves. The first step is to convince Monte Christo to create something like the BAT that preferably uses a 3D modeling program like Gmax or 3ds Max and actually release it to the public.

I don't think there will be a need fro anything like BAT with CU.

Bat is a set of rendering scripts needed cause game isn't really 3D. And with CU you have true 3D game so no need for such rendering.

Indeed. And they will use max, not the outdated dinosaur that is gmax. I'd like to see some kind of tie in with blender, which is open source as well as max.

Its unlikely that there will never be a CU section to the STEX, same as SCS,

However it depends like MrCinatit says on the reaction to the game, demand for custom content and promise of custom content uploads. I doubt there would be a BAT tool for the same reasons as SimFox said, anyway at the moment it seems quite a few people around SC4 sites are interested in having CU content exchanges and that seems to be the way it is heading,
