Comparing the two versions of SC4, the PC version seems to have buildings develop into larger ones (ie skyscrapers, higher industries) faster than the Mac game. Has this problem occured to anyone else? If so, is there a way to fix/work around it?

Are you comparing game time or the Sim years? Same city? Same plugins? Cant really base something like this on a "feel", too many factors I would think.

Well that would be really hard to achieve even with same every thing. Because The buildings would that grow would have to be the same one in the same place at the same time with the same amount of occupants and the same amount of people going to work in the same place in the city. The congestion would have to be the same, desirability would have to be the same, Pollution would have to be the same, Demand would have to be the same, every thing would have to be the same. So its not an easy task so its not really a thing that I have accounted.

The games would have no difference except one runs on windows the other runs on Macs. It's probably that the PC version, If you have been playing it, has just had some smarter decisions or buildings put into it, Therefore making the Mac version seem slower to getting the buildings.

Then again it could also be that the speed of the PC is faster than the one in the Mac therefore making the Mac version take longer to get through the years when the PC runs it faster so the years pass quicker and you see more development.

Wouldn't the two versions, mac and pc, be pretty much the same? My computer runs SC4 pretty fast, even though it isn't an Intel Mac. I've played SC4 on my friends computer and it doesn't really seem different speed wise.
