A teaser...  Night shot of downtown...

Now, obviously this is a decent sized city, with skyscrapers and such...  And yet, it has NO mass-transit.  The people of Strucoe have depended on their cars forever, but as the population continues to boom, and the echo's of sims frustrated voices growing loud in the mayors ears, the decision to build a mass-transit system was made.

From the Strucoe Journal

"Mayor Sparrow's much anticipated came today regarding the Strucoe Transit Authority's hub.  After considering a few locations, the mayor and his advisors have agreed upon placing the hub at the current site of Parkside Elementary, and South Hamilton Park..."

Parkside Elementary and South Hamilton Park...  The Hub will be placed on the south end of the lot.  The school will be re-located.

A zoomed out shot of the area...

For any with good eyes, you will notice that the spot of the new hub is a few blocks south from the teaser shot.  Can tell by a few of the larger buildings...

Thats all for now!  Enjoy!

    Strucoe

Getting a feel for the city.

Strucoe's roots are in the dirty and manufactoring industries.  Smokestacks have risen above the Northeast and East side of town for as long as anyone can remember.  Despite this, the town remains very "green" with tree's seen everywhere.  As of late, their has been a boom of high tech in the area.

The relatively new Hammen Power Complex.  Hammen Power is a new player in Strucoe's power market.  Hammen makes up about 15% of the town's power usage.  All of it is clean energy.  The other 85% is made up by the Truex Power Company.  Truex fits in more with the
"old" part of town and its manufactoring roots.

The solar and wind plants are seen here, along with Hammen's HQ in the bottom left and a R&D/Monitering Center in the middle of the photo

Now for some pictures of the residential parts of town.

This picture shows some of the most expensive residencies in town.  They line the famous Long Park, one of Strucoe's most famous places.

    Update 4

    Some more random pictures.  Enjoy!

Strucoe Central Catholic High School as well as their football field.  Friday nights find everyone in town at their favorite high school's game.

    strucoeaug3151196820207yg2.jpg

South Washington High School.  A helicopter is seen hovering previewing a story to the school's currently undefeated football team.

    strucoejul2815119682018lt8.jpg

Random shot of a middle class suburb.

    strucoeaug1015119682022kk0.jpg

Seen here is part of downtown.  Downtown can be accessed from Midtown via the downtown line (blue line) of the subway.  Downtown, along with being home to many buisnesses is home to the Strucoe Barons.  Strucoe's very own proffesional baseball team.  Also found in downtown is the convention center as well as a few large hotels.

    4a.

    Mini Update...  Region Shots...

As I stated earlier, Strucoe is the only city in the region thus far...  So it isn't really much of a region shot...  But here it is anyway...

Hopefully you can make out Central Strucoe, Downtown, the Industrial Area, Long Park, and the beginnings of the suburbs...  If you have trouble seeing where Long Park is check out the transit map, it is dead center...  It has some taller buildings around it...

    strucoe1197061474ig3.jpg

Transit...  As you can see, the highways look somewhat crazy...  They aren't as crazy as they seem.  Their are a few branches off in the north because of the railroad.  The highway is the main way to get over the railroad, since only a few major avenues cross over them otherwise.  Remove those, and it looks somewhat normal, still a lot of highways for some, but that is how it is here in the midwest!!!  Sadly you can't see the subway from this shot, I hope to post that soon!  Oh, one last thing, the airport you see is simply a tram, the airport is to come soon...

    strucoe1197061496oi1.jpg

And for any worried about me being a little bit griddy.  Don't worry, the Midwest US (Great Lakes) which I am somewhat basing this off has grids.  That's just the way it is in the city.  However, once we get out of the city it will be much more free-flowing...

    ENJOY!

    Update 5

    Koldston

Alright everyone, time to take a look outside Strucoe for the first time.  Koldston is a large city tile just south of Strucoe.  The suburb is home to it's own small downtown, and industrial district...

    koldstonmay130011972324kd2.jpg

    koldstonjul180011972328ej9.jpg

However, as seen below, Koldston is still primarily a commuting suburb.

    Another update coming soon!
