The lights won't work

I have installed gmax i have updated simcity with "UPDATE_SKU1_TO_P1_B638.EXE" from the official site i have installed "SC4BATInstaller.exe" and i have installed "SC4Update4BAT.exe" and still i can't see any damn lights in my downloaded buildings. What more do i have to install? Did i do something wrong?

I asked this question in an other topic butt didn't seem to get an answer...

You didn't need to install gMax, but check the version of C:\Program Files\Maxis\Simcity 4\Apps\Simcity 4.exe. The file should be version 1.1.640.0.

it's version 613 butt i just downloaded the patch from the official site so is that patch out dated our what ?

Did you get the logs after applying the patches? Were there errors?

What version of the game do you have, Basic, or Rush Hour/Deluxe?

You may have tried the wrong SKU, check the SC4 install disk for the SKU folder, it has a subfolder with a SKU number, that is the patch number you need.

i have basic and rush hour installed separatly? And de sku says ep1 so that is what i installed... And i didn't get any errors in the logs no

There is clearly something gone awry.  EP1 is Rush Hour.  Update 1 will take you to version 638 and the bat update will take you to 640.

If you were previously running with a noCD patch, this may have inhibited your updates.  If this is the case you will need to reinstall as follows:

1. Save your plugins and regions to folders outside the game
2. uninstall the game completely
3. Clean up with Disk cleanup and do a defrag for clean up your file tables
4. Install SC4 with no patching of any kind
5. Install Rush Hour
6. Install update 1
7. Install the bat night lights patch
8. restore your saved folders

At this point you should be able to run with night lights except buildings that don't have the proper textures (there are some).

You do not need gmax and the BAT to install this stuff.  If you are not going to model your own buildings, you can forget about them.

sometimes, the buildings don't light up if it was built when you were already in night mode

other times, if you switch from day to night immediately, it takes a couple seconds for the lights to appear, scroll around the map away from the custom building and it might light up

of course, you need the patch installed correctly.

Sorry for bumping the thread, but I got a problem. Is there another place where I can download the bat night lights patch? I registered my simcity4 version/rushhour version at simcity.ea.com but I never got an email so I can not activate my account and download the patch. I even cant create a new one because I already used the serial numbers of both games in my first account. So could somebody upload the patch or post some links where i could get it? I even searched for 1.1.640 cracks (lol) but there arent any .exe-files of that version.

Looks like theres only a mac version of the patch on his site, but Im using the PC. I think the easiest way to send me the files is uploading themsomewhere (rapidshare or file-upload) and post the link here. If you want you can delete it after I got it.
