My question is so basic that i even could'nt find an answer in these forums;

A territory has, lets say, about 10 cities in it.
Cicites exchange energy, water, garbage, etc..
But do cities excange workers?
Can i make on city with only habitation lots and the neighbour city will be one big industry??

Made tests but i'm still not 100% sure

Apologies to be so *****

Hey, the only dumb question is the one that isn't asked.  Look at it this way: now that you've asked it, you can answer for the next person...and yes, there will be a next person 2.gif.

Anyways, yes, it is possible to have one city full of commerce, one city of industry, and one city of residential and have them interchange between each other; it's a common strategy, in fact.  The thing is, it's a really fickle set-up; you have to manage the balance carefully, or else you'll build too much residential too fast, or too much industry, etc.

I find that it's actually easier to keep a region going when you mix the zones together...or have one city predominately residential or commercial or industrial, but have all three present.  It's easier to keep it balanced, and you don't have to save and switch every so often.  But that's just me...

You might keep testing to see what works for you...but to answer your question, yes, having separate cities for the zones does work, and yes, it is a viable strategy for region-play.

Welcome to Simtropolis! 4.gif

It's not a stupid question. We were all once new! 4.gif

You can do what you ask. Some workers will travel to different cities for work! Also, one city can be strictly residential, while another can be strictly commercial. But it isn't that realistic. 9.gif

I know that you are new, and there is a lot to learn here in terms of things to download for your city to improve the gaming experience. If you are in any way confused about anything, never hesitate to PM me or any one else with a question.

Also, check out the last link in my signature, that has some things that you can probably use in your cities. 4.gif

Hope this helps! 2.gif
