Desktop Trouble on Vista

Hey there!

I've put up with this problem for a while, but now I've decide to see if I can fix it. Every time I right-click an icon on my desktop, the desktop locks up for about 10 seconds23.gif before the little box pops open. This has gotten quite annoying so I'm grateful for any help!

I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium.

    It has 3GB's of RAM and a 500GB Hard Drive.42.gif

    i hate to say this, but this isn't a O/S support thread.

    did u go to microsoft.com and see if there was any FAQ's in their database? u might wanna try there first. maybe u are missing an update overlooked. it does happen
