Radiation sometimes appears for no reason?

Ok so this has happened alot of times, but basically I will be playing a city and radiation will just suddenly appear, yet years go by and nothing changes and the radiation status is green, meaning no radiation at all. And this stays this way for years and years. Whats going on?

Did you build the disease research center or the advanced technologies building? They give off radiation.

Besides the obvious, Toxic Dump, the Area 5.1 also has radiation polution. Once you have a lot with it plopped, the radiation stays after you bulldoze the lot.

your plugins might be causing the problems.  try temperarily removing your plugins folder, the see if the problem stiil happens.  hope this works

is there anyway you can remove radiation from a city???? any mods are anything????

You might check the STEX, I know Pegasus made one, but I don't know if he released it.

You can add a minus radiation factor to a lot in iLives reader, or similar app. That will take care of radiation, but don't over do it. Once you use one you must continue to use it, otherwise the radiation will be exponentially greater.
