Region rendering

i downloaded a region that is sized 1025x769 and the associated config file.  so i open sc4 and try to load the .jpg to start the generation.  i got an error message saying "region bitmap size incorrect: 102x769, should be 1025x1025.

ive gotten that error before, but usually i just found another map.  however, i really wanna play this one, so if anybody has any suggestions, thanks

Download and install the Landscape Designer.  It has features that will help you correct whatever is wrong.  You  probably have a problem with the config.bmp file, and this program will help you build a new one.  If your map is impossible, it will help you correct that, too.
