In 1995, a Brazilian Archaeologist team working in the Amazon Rain Forest came across a massive temple complex, and ancient city.   Their findings remained a secret from the Brazilian Government and the world until 2007, when the Brazilian Government, using Google Earth, and rediscovered this land.  Acting quickly, they siezed the site, and made it its own government property, and special region within the State.

Built along a long dried up tributary of the Amazon River, the complex spread out over many miles of jungle.  Once a triving city, today its structures, people, and original buildings are all covered by dense forest, and partial swampland.  The site, is known to have the only true pyramids in existance, with the exception of Egypt, and once hosted one of the greatest  canal systems built for its time.  Whole cities were built onto ringed islands, and massive temple, like mounds were built up in varous shapes.

The Brazilian government wasted no time in siezing the property, and announced to the world that this historic land would be restored to its former glory, as well as become the modern marvel of the world.  Naturally, it did not take long before investments and contracts were made to restore and rebuild the land, which soon, would become the capital of Brazil, and one of the finest modern capitals of the modern world.

This is the story of the building and rebuilding of the modern Capital of Brazil, Enochia.

(given the significant amount of time to terraform such a whole region, let alone one city, this CJ will be slow in the making, but, I hope those interested in this type of CJ find it interesting.  Suggestions are certainly welcome.)

Awesome start, the storyline sounds interesting, i can't wait for more.

The canal-ed city sounds interesting, kinda sounds like the ancient city of Tenochtitlan that the Aztecs built in Mexico. It was built on Lake Tex-something outside of modern Mexico City. The Aztecs, however, built step pyramids.

BTW, didn't Brazil already build a new capital, Brasilia, in 1955? Is the capital going to be in the shape of wings, like Brasilia. Are they going to un-dry-up the tributary to make a self-sufficient city? Is the rainforest going to be a major problem in the rebulding time? LOL, im on a roll...

OK, suggestions are welcome (?): It would be pretty cool to see flat, artificial islands dotting a huge, barely sustaining lake.

BTW, I got this dumb idea in my head yessterday and now i can't forget: Whaat would happen if you made a volcano erupt at the top of the pyramid? Would it flow fast-moving down it, burning up it's exterior? Or would the lava get trapped for half the time, then slooooowly go down it before disappearing half-way? If it's too dumb of a question, you don't have to answer...

EDIT: I forgot, are you goingto use the city you had started in MAQQABA? You said you were going to obliterate it but...

BTW: I already knew about the ST exchange, i've actually got a few downloads from there but what i was wondering about were like those black buildings you described, the building at the top of the pyramid, the city center... etc.?
