Wow. That was . . . interesting. Oh, and thank you. I just found my extra credit for English. I have to find grammar errors in written work. There's two sentences I think missing periods. Anywho, fun read. That's why I don't play the lottery. I gamble. 3.gif

[Edited for bashing nationality.] Marc

(note:i actually meant the world as a whole)

as for the topic, this made me laugh so much

"The 23-year-old, who said she had left school without a maths GCSE, said: "On one of my cards it said I had to find temperatures lower than -8. The numbers I uncovered were -6 and -7 so I thought I had won, and so did the woman in the shop. But when she scanned the card the machine said I hadn't.

"I phoned Camelot and they fobbed me off with some story that -6 is higher - not lower - than -8 but I'm not having it"

Kids, this is exactly why you need to stay in school, get ALL of your gcse's and go onto college and uni.

Going to college and university doesn't guarantee your intelligence. You might be good at memorization, yes.. but I know a lot of idiots that are in university.. and my boss who is a very bright woman doesn't have any post secondary education. And I should hope none of you think I'm an idiot, simply because I'm going into my second year out of high school and no university to speak of. 3.gif

Uh -6 is warmer than -8 lol.  She thinks it's colder than -8, which is completely and utterly wrong.  I'm sure at her age she hasn't had a math class in quite a while, however that's not a valid excuse for not knowing basic mathematical skills.  You'd think at 23 it might be a good idea to brush up on your math skills from time to time.  Infact you'd think she'd have brushed up a little while pursing higher education(if she opted for that route).
