My time simulator is lagging

In the past, I posted this topic in Sim city 4 website and I found a solution, but now my time simulator is lagging behind. For example, I hit the fastest mode for the time simulator and left the game running for 15 minutes when the time simulator  date is 7-10-269 and after that, the date is still the same. Also, the game is really fast when I hit the fastest speed on the time simulator ,but the date still stays the same. Help please.

the 10th of the month is when the population is aggregated and counted. This is processor-intensive and will cause the game to run slowly. The large the city and the more content factoring into this figure will extend the time this takes.

Often when the population count is made, the job reconciliation occurs where individual buildings are assigned a job(s) and the pathing is computed. The pathing happens more freqently on small cities (monthly at least), and less frequently as the city gets larger. This will slow many times more than the months when the population is just counted. (If anyone has noted a specific pattern to this, please fill me in...I haven't)

My time simulator lags all the time, it can't even run in full speed as it used to. On my much smaller cities, the time simulator is also lagging like my large main city. In the past, the game frequently crashes, locks up, or lags. After my dad bought a new Sim city 4 deluxe disc off Best Buy instead of eBay; I reinstall the game with the new disc and now most of the crashes and locks up ended, except for the lags. My computer is fast except for the time simulator in the game and the normal speed is too slow to me.

Well, you should not run this game in Cheetah mode unless your city is very mature or you want a quick effect for a short time.  I almost always run in Rhino, sometimes in Turtile.

The game is one of patience.  If you are a member of the now generation I feel for you but I can't reach you because you are running away all the time.  Try living at a lower pace.  You are much less likely to burn out.

One of the most important things that this game teaches is use of leisure time.  Unlike its predecessors, it is a more thoughtful simulator that isn't really interested in whipping up a big city in jig time.  Slow, steady growth is one of the overriding themes in the make up of this program.

The micro-manipulation features alone take so much time that you don't want the clock running too fast while you take care of them.  You can get swamped running fast all the time.

I think I have said this to you before.  Don't try to push the game too fast.  All you get is bankrupt or a big deficit.

I frequently run in fast mode, mainly to experiment with my city. I  think I got this fast mode running habit from SimCity 3000 unlimited.
