People please, is it just me or is this forum completly off the handle? To me old cartoons are the best but the new cartoons like family guy, futurama, naruto and even pokemon aren't that bad. You have to always look at things with different perspective so you will see that these new cartoons may look like a load of crap but under the degrading animation lies the concepts of the old cartoons.

animaniacs was briliant  Pinky and The Brain oh my.  

Besides Simpsons and  Futurama ( new episodes soon ! )the very best of the newer

Cartoons. I do wish someone would run Starblazers one more time.

I do recall the Cartoon Network used to show Duel Masters, which was yet another of those lesser kid's card game monster challenge shows. I couldn't possibly follow the absurdly intricate complications of the magical Japanese card game matches, but I did really dig the ironic modern humor, especially the self-deprecating adult wit centering on the too-cool mentor/babysitter character Knight. I guess pink really is the new black.

For an over-the-top scatterbrain kids show completely unintelligible to anyone except psychotic bipolar infants, the Anime Network was showing Papuwa's Island. Uh, transvestite talking fish in silk-net stockings paired with island castaways who cruelly eat the continuously regrown tail of their talking dinosaur friend??? The comparatively conservative and formulaic Simpsons and Family Guy would be struck silent with dumbfounded bewilderment.

How is Billy and Mandy like Spongebob at all? Spongebob has a plot for a start (albeit a loose one), Billy and Mandy has none that I've ever seen. Billy and Mandy is just gross to the extreme! Why would you want your child to watch it? Most of the CN shows now are overly complicated or boring or just plain stupid.

I think I dropped CN after all the shows I watched went over to Toonami (mainly DragonBall) as everything left and all the newer stuff coming in at the time was pathetic. I then dropped Toonami when they went through their readjustment and got rid of the DragonBall series and Code Lyoko and had a more childish theme to it. They didn't last long after that and turned into what is now CN Too.

Now I just don't tend to bother. Mostly because the only cartoon (well, anime really) isn't shown here in England on any of the channels I have, and the new Spongebob episodes are rather...terrible. And I always miss Family Guy when it's on too

does anyone remember CatDog from Nickolodeon? Or Rocko's Modern Life?  I used to watch those alot too... However I found CatDog weird, like a Darwinian experiment gone bad.
