Help me download

Ok, I'm a new member and I signed up to download stuff for my city. I want to make an awesome skyline. I downloaded several things already, everything seemed to be fine. The downloaded files are in a folder on my desktop. What do I do next? The stuff isn't on sim city and I have no clue what the next step is to do to get things on sim city. PLEASE HELP! As an educated guess, I would think that you guys get these types of questions all the time. I tried clicking on the downloaded icon and it said that my computer couldn't find the file location, would you like your computer to find the file location on the internet, and that's where I'm lost. Thank you very much.

hi my friend,you need to unzip each item and put it in your plugin folder in my documents simcity folder,you can direct it to that with the zip program but you should be able to drag and drop them in.i hope this helps.

Yeah, and dont go overly crazy, I recommend taking a side trip into the omnibus. It can really help you out.

Ok, I wasn't unzipping the files. Thank you all so much and Richard, I have no clue what you are talking about.

I unzipped the files, put them into the sim city plugins folder and it still wont work. What do I need to do?

you said earlier they are skyscrapers i think you might have to grow your city a little to get them to grow my friend

Are you sure you put them in the MyDocuments/SimCity4/Plugins directory?  If you downloaded and installed a mod, then you won't always notice it "working" when you play SimCity 4.  But if it's a BAT or a lot, you should see it in your menus where there was just previously Maxis content.  If you are unsure what I am talking about, I'll be happy to explain what each of the types of custom content in SimCity 4 are.
