Simcity 4. 1. start to render a big map. 2. 30 min later- CRASH!

Ok, it's like this;I try to render my new Springfield region. It's 32 km wide & 40 km high. I let it go . But half an hr or 2 hrs later Simcity 4 crashes,before it's finished loading the region. It worked on the first Springfield I made,which was 32x32.Just just an extra 8 km crashed the game before the rendering finished.Does anyone know how to fix this?

You can use SC4 Terraformer. It is an alternate rendering program. The rendering will look SC4 terraformer style and you will have to load each city individually to make it be sc4 style, but it will work. and SC4 Terraformer lets you terraform the region as a whole instead of just city by city.

My computer is a Mac. I'm not sure if SC4Terraformer is compatible with my system.
