I've just come to the Sim City Societies french official site and someting caught a little attention to me. It's the PEGI rating of the game, which is 7+, meaning suitable for children of 7 and above (for information, SC4 Rush Hour is 3+). This means the contents of the game are very likely to be decided, at least for the graphics and the sound, since after the release the PEGI may check, as i understood reading their official site.

I wondered why this game may have such a rating, and i read the registration form. Of course this is speculation at this time but i think that :

- The game may contain pictures or sound that may scare young children (i don't mean the players reading this forum, of course 4.gif ). I'm unsure, but i've heard or possibilities of a zombie town, true ?

- The game may contain depictions of implied violence to humans where the actual violence is not shown, as a destroyed building, shot aircraft ... (any disasters in SCS ?)

- The game may contain non detailed or non realistic violence towards non detailed human like characters (burgars arrested by police ?)

This is not for criticism that i'm posting this, it's only in order to see the difference of details of what we may see in the game, that isn't in SC4 (well, not for destroyed building, which is possible in SC4).

I think it has something to do with the the bars and pool halls(are there sim strip clubs in the game as well?) and the big brother style city as well...although the game isn't graphic about these, it still contains them.

Hmm, having the Men in Black come and and whisk away the mimes to be 're-educated' perhaps.

Maybe it's too complicated for kids?
