i have downloaded the ground rail to elevated rail by tropod and using the lastest version of the NAM (june 2007)

i have done what the read me says

Ground Rail <~> Elevated Rail Transition

Credit goes to Ragutaro for the creation of this Transit Enabled Lot. I have but merely made some modifications to the Lot, so that it is English compatible. Also, this Lot has been made UDI compatible, but only in conjunction with the NAM [Network Addon Mod ~ available from the Mods section]. In other words, you need the NAM for this Lot to be UDI compatible for EI Trains, Passenger Trains, & Freight Trains.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

UDI ~ because of the game, there exists a certain methodology in order to use this Lot for UDI to work.

For this Lot to work properly with UDI:

NAM [Network Addon Mod]

1. The above mod is needed if you intend to make use of UDI for this Lot [make sure you have the most up to date version]. The NAM is available from the Mods section of Simtropolis. Also see A ~ Placement Rules, B ~ U-Drive-It Rules, & C ~ Proximity & Function Rules below.

A ~ Placement Rules

1. Plop the Lot, making sure both Ground Rail & EI Rain have been dragged as far as they can into the Lot.

2. Save the city.

3. Exit to the Region (or just exit the game).

4. Load the City.

5. UDI should now work properly going *through* the Lot. Automata will also be able to use & go through the Lot.

6. Also See B ~ U-Drive-It below.

B ~ U-Drive-It Rules

The next version of the NAM may hopefully do away with the following section (current version of NAM at writing is 09.04.04).

1. In order to U-Drive-It through the Lot, the vehicle (Train) will typically need to go through a Junction Switch first, & in the same forward direction as the Junction Switch Arrow(s) (this will be the case for Elevated Rail Trains &/or Trains that start UDI on Elevated Rail).

C ~ Proximity & Function Rules

1. If at any time you; bulldoze; construct; re-drag; re-lay; Railway tracks,  Ground Rail, &/or any other network on or *near* an existing Ground Rail <~> Elevated Rail Transitional Lot, then the Placement Rules above need to be followed (again) in order for UDI & Automata to work for the Lot.

2. If at any time you use UDI for Passenger Train, Freight Train, EI Rail Passenger Train, & going *through* the Lot the UDI ends, then you'll need to follow the Placement Rules & also the U-Drive-It Rules above, in order for UDI to work *through* the Lot. The next version of the NAM may  hopefully do away with this.

and i have done this over and over
and i still have no luck.
so can someone PLEASE Help

Take a good look at that lot.  Is it for Rush Hour/Deluxe or for regular SC4?

GLR to Elevated Rail is part of the NAM package.

Ground (heavy, freight) rail to Elevated Rail in the current context is nonsense.  Ground Rail as supplied with the game is heavy gage rail used for freight, with passenger service mixed in.  Totally unsuitable for Elevated use.
