Help!!!Missing Maxis file after update.

Hi, I recently installed the Ep1 update and BAT update, I noticed that there were some details and parking lots are missing. It turned up to be a Maxis file and effects mostly Maxis buildings.
How can I get that file back? Please anyone tell me how to get the Maxis file back.

When you install the update, the graphics are reset to low, go to the game graphics option and select medium, or high.

Nooooooooo, I already reset the settings back to the way they were before, there is a missing file because the sc4_patchlog text document said there was a missing file.

Look at the first picture(before) and the second picture(after), notice the parking lot especailly that the parking lot doesn't show up but the cars still do. Also the drive way, pools, walkway, ect. are missing. The car that is supose to be in the drive way shows up in the grass where the drive way is supose to be.

The 2 pictures are taken at the same spot but at different times.

I have done those updates more than dozen times, and never lost a file.

What file did the sc4_patchlog say was missing?

Take a look at the game in Program Files, and at the install disk.  See if you really have a missing file.  If so, copy it in.

Sorry I haven't chacked back, I was busy with some stuff.

I was thinking maybe I should copy the regoins folder and plugins folder and uninsttall and then reinstall but it is just too complicated.

tungston- I read through it and it didn't say which one was missing, but it has something to do with the original Maxis props like parking lots and backyard pools, ect.

N_O_Body- that is a good idea I should try it , but how exactly do I copy it in?

Open the program files game in one windows explorer instance

Open the CD in another instance.

Drag and drop.

Ok, I fixed it now, sorry I had to bother you guys and did not reply in a while.

This just corrupted the already existing lots a little, but they seem to slowly change back to normal.
