Simlish was meant to convey a variety of emotions w/out sounding repetitive.  It has origins in Ukranian and Tagalog (Phillipines dialect) with a strong emphasis on unique vowel sounds.  It does makes the game more interesting and sometimes quite hilarious!  This is my reference when I want to write it down.
