Maximum size for jpg & config.bmp files?

Does anyone know what the maximum pixel by pixel size SC4 will allow with both the jpg file & the config.bmp before the game will crash? The current map I have I made it into a realistic region, the only problem is the map in the game looks a little "stretched".

The size is more dependent on your computer than the game. I don't know of a limit, but it would be more than you would want to work with.

What do you mean by "stretched"? Do you have a wide screen moniter?

The map is a rectangular size vs square, but yes I do have a widescreen monitor too.

What are the sizes of the config, and grayscale files?

Does the game resolution match the moniter size?

The config.bmp is 64x20 pixels & the greyscale image is 4097x1261 pixels. Resolution is 1680x1050 pixels.
