Is this a bug?

When I zone residential zones, there's a "no car" sign that suddenly appears, despite the obvious fact that its beside a road. However, this time, it doesn't disappear at all. In normal cases, when there is a no road sign, and you've fixed the problem, it takes about 40 days for the "no car" sign to go. This time, despite the the presence of roads, it stays.  However, this time, there was no problem to begin with ... the zones were originally beside a road. The "no car" sign just suddenly popped up.

- This problem is only found in my residential zones.

- I did install the NAM mod.

- Ploppable buildings still do work.

Just press CTRL+X and enter "tastyzots". It gets rid of the icky ol' zots in no time squat. Sometimes it will also disable zone colors so it's a warning you might also have to enter "zoneria" to get the zone colors back.

The no car aren't bugs. It is poor planning. The arrows must have road or else the no car zot will appear. The ones on the road though are facing a road top transit option. Those don't let zones develop on that tile of road.

If you look closely at the zone lots, you will see the problem. The arrow on the lot must be pointing to, and next to a road of one type or another.

To zone that size of section you need to hold the Alt, or Ctrl keys while dragging the zone.

You have lots pointing twords other LOTS, that is your problem. The center rows cant get to a road through another lot (like sc3000), so you need them to point at a road and not each other. What will work is to either make each lot 1x4 or put a road down the center of your blocks. The single ones, like Shadow_prophet said, are caused by road top mass transit. In this case, make the zone wider than the bus stop (ie 2x2 useing ctrl). this will make it so at least part of the lot has road access.

and no, it is not a glitch =P hope this helps.

Wow the replies come really fast. The time between each post is so close. Anyway if you want to place residential zones in front of those roads with bus stops, use the ctrl key so that it joins up to the zone next to it. A 1x2 or 1x3 lot cannot develop in front of those type of bus stops.
