BRIEF HISTORY

Haivania is a greek island, located somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean. It is not a part of the Greek state, however, they share the same flag. The nation's history dates back in ancient times, where Haivania was a Greek colony. Dark ages where about to come when the Romans conguered Ancient Greece. Supply routes were cut and Haivania fell into darkness. The next important chapter in Haivanian history appears thousands of years later, when Europe started exploring beyond seas. The first people to finally step on Haivania were the Spanish, who along with their civilization, they brought new opportunities. However, the Spanish slaved the local people, therefore Haivania suffered for many years. Finally, in October 26, 1856, after long fights and bloody nights, Independence Day came. The Kingdom of Haivania was officially recognised a few decades later, after the departure of the Spanish. Peace and prosperity ruled the land. Haivania was a small economical center in the Atlantic Ocean, between Europe and America. In 1941, WWII reached the Haivanian island due to the fact that the dictator of Spain wished that Haivania would once again become a Spanish colony. Real threat appeared in the horizon, and war was finally declared. The Haivanian people fought with bravery and survived. The end of the war came when Hitler was defeated and prosperity once again appeared, along with the influence of the USA, which later resulted into compulsory involvement in the Cold War, something that the Haivanians did not appreciate. The Cold War finally ended with the collapse of the Soviet Union and that's when our story begins....

PART II

Political Disorder

UPDATE 1.00

He was calm, sitting in his desk, with his fingers crossed, when the man walked in. It was this weird feeling of power and self control that made the black cloaked man so interesting but yet so scary.

"Please, do sit down", Jeremy said with a sharp but polite tone. He looked at the man with anger but he managed to control his emotions.

"Thank you", the man answered while sitting down. "It has been a long time since we last spoke", he added.

"Yes indeed; but please, let's keep our manners out of this, shall we?", he said to the man with a calm voice, "I am not exactly fond of you or your actions".

"Well, so did the Parliament, but look what happened to it", said the man with a cold smile.

Jeremy looked at him as though he was something terribly disqusting."I assumed from the letter that you want to know every detail of the Haivanian history, after the end of the Cold War", he said while arranging some papers in his desk.

"That is correct", the man replied with interest, "the Civil War burned every record, as well as President George, who took good care of secrets".

"Perhaps he knew something would happen", said Jeremy while looking at the man curiously, "but, as it seems I have no other option, I shall tell you my memories...."
