Can't play simcity 4

[stanley85 0]

Hello, the game jump out to window when it is loading simcity 4 (which have the big logo). I tried re-installed and get the latest path for it but still, the same problem occur. Help pls..

my pc spec:

8800 gts 320mb
530 watt enlight psu

If I understand the problem:

Add a space and then -f to the shortcut path, then start the game at least once with the shortcut.

All my exception reports said: Exception code: 0xC0000005 (-1073741819) ACCESS_VIOLATION. Yours looks very close to what mine looks like. I have an Intel e6300 with vista and I had to set Sim City 4 on one processor, or else it will crash. I made a thread here , which works for me. There also is a tool for Xp that does that : Microsoft Application Compatibility Toolkit

b4 this i also tried set to 1 core to run the game but it doesn't work.

Whoa!  Too many problems, not enough facts.

There are three people posting in this thread, and none of you have given us enough information to diagnose your problem.

With this kind of problem we must have:

1. Your machine contiguration, in detail, no fooling or guessing.
2. The operating system you are using, with any service packs
3. The first 25 lines of your exception report.  We don't need the dump, just the header.
4. The size of the contents of your plugin folder.

We cannot shoot in the dark.  If you don't tell us these things, how can we ever help you?

Now, with the exception of the first poster in this thread, the rest of you post a new topic with your problem.

stanley85:  Your exception report seems to indicate you are running an unupdated version of SC4.  If you are running with a no-CD patch, we can't help you.  If you are running SC4 without rush hour, please confirm this, and that you have updated to the proper set of fixes from the SC4 home site.  Your machine looks fine, so you may have a bad plugin.  Please post more information as asked.  Thanks.
