I'll tell you what A Nonny Moose said to the best of my ability (he's a moderator by the name of No_Body on this site)...

1.)Make a new folder under your regions folder with the name of the region you wish to install.

2.)On the Simtropolis Exchange, download the bmp.file and the grayscale image into that folder.

3.)Start up the game

4.)Once in region mode, while in any region-it doesn't matter in the least-hit this button combo:

CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+R

5.)When the window comes up, use it to browse your machine for the bmp.file you downloaded and click "open".

Once that's accomplished, the region should render automatically (please note this can take well up to an hour or more to do, depending on the region's size).  If you have a problem the Landscape Designer software  found on the STEX should be able to fix the problem.  If you have any questions feel free to PM me.  Oh and by the way, welcome to Simtropolis!39.gif

Keep calm and take photographs.

If you start the game, and create a new region, in the region view, that will create default config.bmp, which is 16x16, that's why the game calls for the grayscale.jpg to be 1025x1025.

Create a folder for the region with the Windows Explorer, and copy the downloaded config.bmp file there.  Make sure the config.bmp file has that exact name, as some downloads don't.

The grayscale can be copied anywhere that it is easiest for you to find.  Then you follow the standard procedure.  Load the game, then load the region you made the folder for.  Do the key press, and make sure when you select the grayscale, that the name appears in the box below the file list.  Then it's OK, and wait.  It should start with one city at a time.

Up to here, I think everyone missed the point.  When you downloaded that map did you get the config.bmp file that was presented with it?  If not, go back and get it.

If this config.bmp file does not exist, download the Landscape Designer, and load your gray-scale map using the file options.  You can then create a config.bmp file that suits you.
