This is very strange. All my environment status bars are completely red. Why?

I have trees, recreational areas, etc.

Is there a patch to fix this bug?

I figure it's a bug. In one city I have about 90% of a red bar...it was 100% red and my environment advisor praising me for the low polution. Go figure. Many have posted this same problem. Hopefully Maxis will look into it and see what the messed up.

Just download the Mega Air Cleaner to help your air pollution problems.

Water pollution can be reduced by downloading the Shmails Martian Small Water Pump lot.

I hope these tips help you out.

Like SimsFreak4Life says, use an air cleaner. I use RAH-WAT-Air for air and water pollution and the suprl water plant for water, but there are several on the STEX that you can choose that will fit your needs. Stick with one type, though. I've found that by inter-mixing different types, you can get conflicts that can make the problem worse!

Also, be aware that much of the air pollution can be caused by traffic. Often that cause is overlooked as we tend sometimes to focus on "big" polluters like the power plants or ID, when in fact cars can pollute horribly and over a much wider area depending on your transportation network and the levels of congestion. Putting is subways (or monorail, GLR or rail) can do a lot to reduce air pollution as well as the other benefits they bring. Also, adding rail tracks thru your industrial areas will get the polluting freight trucks off the road and cut down on the problems they bring.

what kind of power plants are you using?  as your populace matures and becomes more wealthy they get pickier about the enviorment.  try swithching to solar.  it worked for me.  also if traffic is really bad that will contribute to air pollution.

I don't use any air cleaners, and I have plenty of small cities with all green bars, and plenty of large cities with mostly green bars. It's usualy Dirty and Manufacturing, and powerplants that do it. The clean air act, and nuke free zone help.

How does Nuke free zone help because it would prevent the use of nuclear power plants which have zero pollotion?

Count me as 100% in agreement here.. Air cleaners are for CJ's in my opinion, not for "real men"   4.gif
