1x1 Ferry Terminal

Is it possible to build a 1x1 Ferry Terminal? It doesn't have to have the roads going throught it it just has to work and have boats using it.

So is it possible?

It very well may be possible, however, I believe the odds are against it. Here's why.

First off, you'd have to place it on either just water or just land, it being only one tile big. Should you place it in the water, boats could get to it, but it would show a no car zot because roads can't be built on water unless going entirely across it. If it was built on just land, roads could reach, but boats couldn't.

The trick would have to be to find a place where it can be place somehow between water and land, possibly requiring you mod the lot to work that way. If that was possible, the "water-half" would have boat access, and the "land-half" would have road access.

Sorry if this makes little/no sense, but to the best of my knowledge that's what I came up with. I hope this helps you if you're planning something; a STEX release, perhaps?

I'll tell you why I'm asking this, I want to build on the artifictial islands in Dubai but it would look stupid using massive ferry temrinals to conenct them together so I want to use 1x2 ferry terminals

so if its 1x2 would that work?

Yes, I believe so. And smaller ferry terminals would make much more sense on little islands. Thank you for PMing me!

Consider making a passenger only ferry (no cars).  You can put a parking garage next to it or integrate a bus terminal with it.  There is one by goldiva, but I think it is 3 x 1.
