STEX Collections Vol. 1 and 2.

So, in making my very rural region, I've decided to get the STEX Collection CD/DVD. Good stuff in there, but I have a few questions:

1) I'm getting a certain number of brown boxes on my farms. I did get all the dependencie files from the STEX Collection 2 DVD, but apparently, it wasn't enough. One of them, for example, is a pack of 40 different farms, which has an impressive list of dependencies. When I click the links in the file, I get a dead link. Should I simply forget about that lot/lots, or are there ways to discover where the files are now?

2) I understand what a "grow" lot means, and what a "plop" lots means. But also, in the CD/DVD, there is a mention of "bat" lots. Are these lots just like a "grow" lot, or are there simply there as a reference for using the building architect (eg. they can't be used, as such, in the game in their current state).

3) I've found two lots, also, which seem to have no ground texture. One is a gas station, without any ground texture. It simply appears as blue. Does it mean I'm also missing a dependencie here?

4) Unrelated to all that, my game crashed on me. Many lots were growing at the same time, so perhaps that's why, but is there a guide, on these forums, to troubleshoot a crashing Simcity 4?
