It works fine with Vista; however, I recommend that you set Simcity 4 to run in compatibility mode for Windows XP.

Edit: Use compatibility mode if you notice any error (In my case it always showed an error saying "Couldn't parse Graphics Rules")

You should probably try it in no compatability mode and check wih task manager under processes to see how much memory it eats. Then do the same with compatibility for XP and use whichever uses less memory so it runs smoother.

Mine works fine on Vista. The only problem that I had was when I clicked the save and quit button which froze the game, and the program killed itself. If you experience any problems, try running compatibility mode, otherwise, upgrade your graphics and your processor.

The one thing you need with Vista, is plenty of memory, it uses more that XP. 2GB would be ideal, but you can run it on less but under 1GB you will experience a lot of lag.

Sim City 4 does not have a problem running on Vista if you have a powerful enough computer; what gave me trouble was the fact that my Vista machine had a dual core processor.
