My game fails to load =_=

Okay, i just got a new computer and decided to install the Simcity 4 deluxe version on it. When it finished downloading it, the game launched automatically like it usually does and it worked fine. However after exiting the game, I was just not able to get back on after I tried a few hours later. It even fails to show the splash screen with the bridge. I would appreciate it if anyone could tell me what could be wrong.

My specs:

1.86Ghz Intel Core Duo

2GB Ram

Nvidia Geforce 8500

Windows XP Pro

1344 paging file (never changed it)

Try using the SimCity 4.exe [C:\Program Files\Maxis\SimCity 4 *\Apps folder] to start the game, the shortcut may have an error in the path.
