FiSHMan does not work, so I need some new textures.

SC4Tool:  In the transit enabler, textures don't show up.

FiSHMan:  Will not load FSH files--a box comes up with 4 lines of computer jargon, all beginning with "could not"

I really want new textures for road intersections, but there are none out there that I like, so I tried to make them...or not.

I am trying to make the road and one way road crosswalks into a pair of white lines, with a wide stop bar behind them like a combination of someone's no more yellow streets mod and the normal avenue intersections.

Also like the T and + road-street intersections where there are two roads and one or two streetsi want the road to curve with the streets as an afterthought.  (Maybe a double yellow line down the middle?) And no more traffic lights in these situations.

My uncle the nerd whom i will be visiting for a week and a half starting TOMORROW !! 8-D says that Windows 2000 is the best operating system Microsoft ever came up with, because it allows the user to change and modify a lot of things, then WinXP was a small step back, and then WinVista was a HUGE step back.  Problem:  I have Windows Vista, and I can't even get the cool stuff because I need a new video card (and I'll be coming home with one, so no major problem)

First what type of account do you have? Try right clicking the icon select properties and the properties window will appear, select the compatibilty tab and check run as administrator, check disable desktop composition, and set the compatibility mode to xp. EDIT: what version of vista do you have?

I have the evaluation version of vista ultimate.

I need a new video card, but i will get that at my uncle Bill's place soon but i live 300 miles away so i will not have a chance to put it into my WinVista computer. This computer is Win2K and it has Internet; the other does not.

"Evaluation version" means that it stopped working properly on June 1 this year and i could only use it for 2 hours until it restarted with no warning--then i set the date to 2006, snd it worked as well as it ever has--about as well as running XP on ENIAC. (The first computer, built in 1946)

I hate to say this but isn't that illegal. Also there is less chance of getting programs to work as the 'evalution version' is even more "shaky" than the commercially availble version. It also sounds to me as though your computer won't be able to cope with Areo interface as well as SC4 andother programs.

Could you also specifiy how much memory your Computer has?

To think, MS has been using sophisticated techniques against piracy for years with holograms and "genuine windows" kind of features, even a phone number you can call to tattle. Yet they never thought about what would happen if a average user did something simple like just set the computer's date and time back.... oops!

Its like those people who pay for a fancy gps security system for their BMW, then leave it unlocked.....

My computer has one gigabyte ram, and will soon (butdoes not now) have a direct 3D compatible video card with, by the way, a vista driver, and i am aware that vista was INTENTIONALLY DESIGNED to not work right because that means that there would be more use of the music and video capability.  My user account is the only one and that means that it is an administrator.  To keep it from restarting after two hours and crashing in august, i set the date back one year.

Money is the root of all evil, and the problems with Vista.
