Carson City

Hello, and welcome to a New CJ of mine, this time we explore an older city, in a new State. The city of Carson City.

Carson City, south of the Major city of Massachusetts Bay, was once a center of great oppertunity, it had all manner of factories and industries, and provided a nice place to live, with a quick route to the big city. 

But then, the factories had to close, and the city quickly went downhill, first people began to move away, so there was less taxes to fund the city with, then the stores began to close, and some were replacled with stores of...Adult intrests... if you will....

This is an example of one of the cities busiest districts with stores such as:

This area of town has been a center of these stores since after the mills closed, they have only atracted crime, and unwanted types of people, which has caused more residents to leave the city. And the police won't do anything, because most of them are corrupt, or on strike, due to low pay. Many gangs pay off most of the officers, either with money or drugs or protection. 

On the topic of gangs, most of them tend to reside, and do their sales in one of the cities many ruined mansions. These manisions are oftens sites of murders and other crimes.

Gangs and the homeless also reside in the cities abandoned subway tunnels, which stretch across much of the city.

The last mayor of this city was voted as the single worst mayor ever, and the mayor has since vanished after the Riots of '06. So now a new mayor, Mayor McArthur has been elected into office, and he has a big job to do, he has said that he will return the cities economy and as a last ditch attempt has....

Legalized gambling...

And now the thrilling story continues

Now that the mayor leagalized it, gambleing holes and casinos started popping up all over the city, on the waterfront

In abandoned districts 

and a few small ones along the railroads

and with the casinos came more cash, which was used to improve the police system. To improve the cops, the mayor fired every officer in town, and replaced them, and uped the salary.

Crime has been cut significatly, but the streets still arn't the safest place to be.

Mansions are still decaying. and housing crime, but frequent raids on them in cutting these crime occurances down
