SketchUp 5 boat woes

    Hey y'all.

    I've been trying to build some models in Google's SketchUp 5, but as usual, just about the only thing that's standing in my way is when I try to make a boat, I can't make a hull... I don't know how. Could any SketchUppers out there light my way, maybe refer me to a tutorial that fits my model, or something?

    ----- My Model -----

    I'm starting a build on a ship, which I plan on turning into a cruise liner. I've got waterline done, along with the hull top (not including the superstructure).

    <img src="http://img530.imageshack.us/img530/8060/perspectivepy3.jpg" alt="Image Hosted by ImageShack.us" />

    Here's a perspective view. The (faint) lines above represent the shape I wish the top part of the bow / hull to have.

    <img src="http://img530.imageshack.us/img530/2357/topviewpe5.jpg" alt="Image Hosted by ImageShack.us" />

    A top down view, to make it easier to look at.

    <img src="http://img530.imageshack.us/img530/555/rightviewth4.jpg" alt="Image Hosted by ImageShack.us" />

    Here's a view from the side.

    <img src="http://img530.imageshack.us/img530/8575/perspective02gg9.jpg" alt="Image Hosted by ImageShack.us" />

    And finally, a view from behind, showing you the shape of the bow.

    And if you need a reference to understand what I want to say, here's the Golden Princess, the ex-largest ship in the world, with two pics showing off the bow and the shape I'm trying to get.

    <img src="http://img530.imageshack.us/img530/6562/grandprincessoc3.jpg" alt="Image Hosted by ImageShack.us" />

    From close up...

    And at a perspective angle. (Ain't she a beaut?)

    Any help here would be tremendously appreciated. Thanks in advance...

    PY

    Why are you using SketchUp?  You have to do several handsprings to install that model in the BAT for conversion into a lot.

    I forgot to mention, this isn't for SimCity 4, hence my posting in "Off-Topic". I'm just trying to build a model I can enjoy, well, editing and tinkering with... but still, no idea on how to make that bow.

    Boats are all compound curves.  Can you use a segment of a spiral?  You'll probably have to do this in wire-frame view.
