Randomly closes

Every now and then, the game will blackout and close, leaving all of my unsaved work unrecoverable. Now when I try to open my largest city, it will go through a couple of its corny loading messages, but then will spontaneously close.

My computer is pretty healthy with a nice graphics card. Does anybody know what could be wrong?

It's generally something in the plugin folder. Some custom lots, or mods just don't get along with each other. Game crashes to desktop aren't that uncommon, but you should be able to start the game again.

There is one I remember, it's an airport pack, I would have to do some research to get the name.

I do have an airport pack in my plugins folder, but I never build with it anymore because it never seemed to work. I'll remove it and see if the blackouts are resolved. Thanks for the suggestion...

My new pc never crashes in sim city exept if i hover with puzzle pieces , my old pc used to crash often , obviously this was a problem with my machine or some software that was on there. It was proved to me it was the machine , The could be a 1000+ reasons why it crashes, if you strip your pluggins and it still crashes then its your machine or some other software thats on there thats causing the problem ,anything from a faulty PSU to adware can cause game crashes.

Hey!  Where are your specs!  If you don't post them, we really can't help.

If you are running a laptop you could be having an overheat shutdown.  This program pins the processor at 100%

I'm too lazy to find or say the specs, but would this help to say that my computer was a display model, but ever since I got it, it went through like 13 harde drives because I crashed them. doing some really stupidd experinments. It is a mindows XP. I do have a problem with the graphics card.

i just reinstalled this game, and I am getting this error aswell. No clue what it could be.

If u have Point Plaza, it can be the problem, it was for me
