What exactly goes on when two cities are connected, and your viewing one, what happens to the other city? Like, what is going on.

Other than price, is there a reason to NOt zone only high density ind/res/com zones?

What does mayor rateing have to do with anything?

Is there any way to customize the diffrent size squares on the region map? [perhaps haveing nothing but huge squares?]

Where can i get pre made terrain for an entier region?..I do get tired of haveing perfectly flat regions with firectly square water holes, lol.

Does water polution effect ALL water, like, water down stream or upstream from the polution?

    Hello, and welcome to Simtropolis!

Okay...six questions.  Don't know if I can answer them all, but I'll definately try!

1.) Well...if you build on the city that you're viewing, the next city over will probably have different demand to compensate for it.  For example, if you build a crapload of Residential in the first city, the demand for residential will go down in the other city and industry and commercial demand might go up.  Stuff like population and mayor rating don't change, however, until you go into the other city and play it.  And obviously, nothing builds.

2.) Realism.  Not too many cities are made up of only high-density buildings, so far as I know.  Most of them have suburbs or some other type of low-density buildings (restaurants, etc.) that help the game flow, even cities like Hong Kong.  Also, have too many high-density zones makes for higher populations, which help contribute to the lag of the game over time.

3.) Your Mayor Rating is basically the best indicator of how well your Sims like you.  If your rating is bad, you're most likely doing some really wrong, which probably means that people are leaving and/or you're losing money.  It's not too hard to keep it up...

4.) Yes!  Start a new region, then go to Go to My Documents ---> SimCity 4 ----> Regions ----> [name of region you started] and find the config.bmp file.  That's the file that shows the tile layout.  The blue squares are large cities and are exactly 4 * 4 pixels large.  The green ones (2*2 pixels) are medium cities, and the red ones (1 pixel) are small ones.  If you want it any different, you can either edit that one or make your own (of the same size).  The easiest way to make your own (in my opinion) is to use Ordio's Region and Config Creator.  That lets you drag where you want each city.  I wouldn't edit a region you've already started and want to keep.

5.) There are a billion of them on the STEX.  Try searching the term "map," and you'll get almost 200 of them.

6.) I don't think so...I think it's only the area around the pollution that is affected.  But don't quote me on that...I'm only almost sure. 3.gif

I'm pretty sure that I won' t be the last one to respond, but I really hope I've helped at least bit.  If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
