SC4TerraFormer and SC4Mapper

Hey. I actually have two questions?

1.  When importing a region, most read me's say that you need either SC4Mapper or SC4Terraformer, but these two aren't made for macs. Is there anyway to do it without these to applications or are these applications available anywhere for macs?

2. I know this is an exhausted question but Im still a bit confused.  GoaSkin listed out a very complicated formula for fixing the nightlighting problem on STEX files for mac.  Is there any easier way to fix the nightlighting problem such as downloading a patch or anything like that?

1.No. It would be possible for someone to make a Mac version of SC4Mapper, but it's doubtful that anyone will.

2.No, though it might (and it's a maybe the size of Texas) be one of the issues addressed in the Aspyr universal patch for the game.

I know it sucks, but it's the price we have to pay for using superior technology.

If you ever install Windows through Boot Camp, it is possible (and pretty easy) to use SC4Mapper to render the map, and move the region folder back to the Mac side, but unless you are installing Windows for other reasons, or happen to have a copy of Windows XP lying around, then it isn't really worth it.
