Hello 4.gif

I am trying to follow the Making Eye-Pleasing Realistic Beaches tutorial.  It says to download the Beaches for Irregular Coastlines, which I did.  In the tutorial, the beaches initially seem to be plain with no roads or beach stuff on them, but in my parks menu, they have roads and stuff along the beaches.  Even the beach with no parking lot has a walkway.  Has anyone used these beaches that can tell me how to get them to be just plain sand so I can add the custom stuff in the tutorial?  Or am I being an idiot? 3.gif  Thanks!!

Hey, those beaches on your link, look great, one question: how do you get those walls/cliffs on the back of the beaches?

it gives links to everything in the tutorial. you must download the irregular beaches, plop them, go to your trees menu, put the palms on the beach, then you can terraform and plop down the enbankments, and finally, you can plop the parking lots above that.

These beaches are plain here as shown in the tutorial...  The Beaches for Irregular Coastlines in my parks menu are not.  They have roads and parking lots or walkways and other stuff on them so you can't really customize them as well as shown in the tutorial.  Even in the help, all the sample pictures of the different beaches have roads, walkways and stuff on them and the trees won't cover the roads, so I can't really make a nice wall with a treeline like it shows.  I guess I am just looking for plain beaches like in this tutorial picture, unless I am being dumb and overlooking something obvious.   Thanks 4.gif

Try going to Options and turning the detail level up. Or if thats not the problem, check your menu again. The parking lots for that beach set are seperate lots.

Hmm separate?? Something weird is going on then. I will try changing that setting. I also wonder now if I have the correct lots. It never showed up for me in STEX when I searched for 'beaches'.. I had to search for 'irregular' and then do the search a couple times to see it. But when I open it, the readme says beaches for irregular coastlines, and there's a "transit enabled" and "transit disabled" version there, although they both have roads and parking lots and don't seem to do anything different, so I never could figure out what the difference is. Anyway, I will check it out 4.gif Thanks!!
