Well I am sure that Simtropolis has some Whovians here so I have set up this thread to talk all things Who.  I do have an extensive knowledge and I am able to answer most questions.  Or perhaps you want to discuss the goings ons.  Anyway for those of you wishing to discuss Dr Who the place is here.

I love the new series. I liked all three so far, but the most recent episode of this series on Saturday was really good, and I really want to know what ingenious invention on the spot the Doctor will use to get out of it.

Never been a fan of that Torchwood though...

A quote from page 29 of the Moose Factory Bar and Grill

They materilize out of thin air travelling in a strange blue telephone box called the Tardis that she borrowed off a Dr Friend of hers in the UK.

    Tardis_2.jpg

Who was that did you say?

Yes that's right - Dr Who.

    Yes that's what I mean - what's his name?

    Who

Yes, The Doctor - can you tell me his name .....?

    Who.

Oh never mind let's just get on with the story......quote>

no I am not keen on Torchwood either.  I reckon the Dr will either find the masters old tardis in amonst that stuff somewhere or he makes some sort of device that calls the TARDIS back to where he is.  Its good to have an old enemy of the Drs back like th master.  I wonder if he will be like Ainley or Delgardo ( old series)

Cool The Master is back for series 3?

the 3rd season is not on in the US yet.

Think sci fi is planing for december or January and run

and put it on before or after Battle Star Galactica

The third season is full of great episodes. I think Tennant is doing very well. It was a bit weird to see that 'Mr Saxon' is actually DI Sam Tyler, but that's the curse of British television I guess.48.gif

Well I actually kinda guessed that it would have been the master,  but I was also thinking that maybe the other times lord could have been the Rani or the mad monk or even Kam poo.  For those of you who know the original series you will know who these people are for those of you who dont I dont mind telling if you ask.

yes well he could time travel there also lol ( DI Sam Tyler) those who dont know look up life on mars.

I am totally addicted to both Doctor Who and Torchwood, I never miss an episode. I also think that both John Barrowman and David Tennant are amazingly good looking. I have always liked Doctor Who since I was about 10 and now Im 16 I follow the new episodes.

not to keen on John Barrowman yes he is good looking but I find him arrogant David Tennent a different kettle of fish though. I thought Chris Eccleston was good looking too. baring the new series my favourite dr was Jon Pertwee although my first memories of Dr Who are ones of Peter Davidson

My favourite Doctor from before Eccleston and Tennant is the one I will always remember and that has to be Tom Baker, he is awesome.

I only saw two seasons of it fr the Sci Fi Channel. I was expecting it to be cheesy. It kind of is, but at least it was still fun. So far I l like Eccleston. I liked his enthusiasm. I actually think he is average looking, but that is a good thing b/c it's cool to see have non movie star looking people have lots of fun!

in terms of effects. Kinda liek the  new and old BSG's

lol that whole charm of Dr who the old one anyway is the cheesyness like the bubble wrap monsters and the shaky sets lol

the bubble wrap monster is the wirrm in the ark in space its ever so funny to watch.   BBC pushing the budget boat out there lol.

thats the thing about the Doctor hes not supposed to be movie star looking,  but yes he does get into some scrapes.

I cant wait for series 3 to be realeased at the end of the eyar its been the best of the new ones yet.   All you people out there not in the UK you have some suprises to come I think I have opened me gob  oh well I will say it again

for special effects I must admit the new series but there was a lot of good stories in the old series that would have been fab with the special effects that they have today.

I think Paul Mcgann should have been given more of a chance instead the one of film

They probably did but like human nature it was probably destroyed again in some massive war.  Something along the lines of the sword of Shannara type ethos Where all history was wiped out.  I must admit it would be interesting to know though lol.
