NAM Tutorial?

I've searched for two days (not straight) but haven't been able to find a NAM tutorial. I suppose it would be kinda large considering all of the options in the NAM anyway.

My reason for looking for a tutorial is that I'm having trouble connecting NAM pieces, such as road over road, or road over rail pieces, to connect to the regular Maxis road and/or rail pieces. The game tells me that I cannot lay pieces over reserved tiles. That I understand, but they still won't connect when I don't lay them onto the NAM pieces. I hope this makes sense to somebody out there. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I am not sure just yet if there is a tutorial for the NAM.

Have you looked in this forum?   It is pretty much all about the NAM.

If I find something else I will edit this post.

Edited:  Which puzzle piece are you trying to connect.  After testing I found that there are some that I am unable to connect as well.  This may be because of the purpose of the piece.

The two that I've tried are the road over road (cannot connect the underneath piece) and the road over rail (also the underneath piece does not connect). Both of these peices are of the straight variety, not angled in any way.

You have to lay the underlying network first, before you place the puzzle piece for the raised network.
