    penguin007 - Thank you. That's quite a compliment.

Mikeaut1 - I have added some plopped low-rise commercial buildings to create a more realistic look. Thanks!

BlondeTwiggy - Well thanks for the visit. Hope to see you again.

    autoVino - I'll certainly try!

granto93 - I found that you just have to take your time and build the fields a line at a time. I usually start with a basic road and street grid and zone an appropriately sized farm rectangle. Then I begin to build it out into different shapes a line at a time. It goes faily quickly once you get the hang of it.

Benedict - Thank you. I will try to keep it that way.

AceofSpades - Yes, I prefer realism. You sometimes have to take a few liberties but I like it when a city looks like an actual aerial photegraph.

cleaner475 - Thank you Richard, glad you like.

SoNell - I appreciate the kind words!

I have two things to say/ type here. The first is that your skilled in a way that I wish my computer would let me handle. You have always been able to do the small town-realistic metro transition flawlessly. Plus, that eerily reminds me of a scaled down Sacramento, no kidding. The second thing I have to say is . . . THIS IS MY 500TH POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HUZZAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TopCliff

    Congratulations of your 500th post.

Thanks for the kind words. I guess I'd have to include the Feather and American Rivers to make it Sacramento. LOL My wife is from Yuba City. Sac is one of my favorite cities.

Also in reverse order: That's good to hear. Of course the American is important, but what about . . . dun dun duh . . . the Sacramento River. Thanks for your congratulation, and I hope that Pleasant Valley continues its growth. TopCliff

P.S. Don't let it be built up by suburbia and use every resource in the valley.

I've always liked your realistic style cjs and this one dosen't look to dissappoint. Great road layout and detail so far; I like how you split the main avenues going into downtown into two one way roads as you see that alot in many mid sized towns in America.  I'm also guessing that ring avenue to the west and south of town with limited access will be used for future highway developement  (many real world towns use similiar planning techniques).  Anyways, nice work, I look forward to seeing some more updates and maybe a region shot or two.

lilred731 - I'm happy you have visited and enjoyed Pleasant Valley. Hope you'll come by often.

zzsim - Thanks for that!! I've only a few cities layed out as yet and was waiting until more were done before doing a regional shot. My next days off I will try to get a few more done and do some shots.

Pleasent Valley? More like boring valley. You keep showing same suburbs which are filled with Maxis. There are good amount of custom content, so use it.

Okay, that's just his style. If you went through his, what, nine journals, you'd see that this is always and always will be his style of playing. It actually is quite pleasing to the eye because it balances the custom downtown. That is an awesome farm town. It's really realistic, with the small intersection downtown and the small winding streets. TopCliff
