Having a problem with the Avenues!

Hey guys. I am currently having a problem with creating avenues. Every time I try to create them they don't show up properly. All I can see are the lamp posts and that's about it. How do I go about fixing this, and/or can someone send me a proper avenue file so I can make it work or something?

Another query I have is what factors increase my population. Almost 3/4 of my city is covered in dense residential areas and houses but my population only lies at around 6000 only. I want to see tall buildings and apartment and offices in the regions, and what factors affect these?

Either, you have a mod that's stopping your avenue's for showing (in which case find and delete it), or SimCity didn't install properly so you'll have to re-install it.

As for the other question, make sure you have all services, parks, etc. You could download the Super Demand Ordnance from the Mods and Downloads section :-)

One more question. How can I reduce air pollution from the industrial regions? Planting lots of trees doesn't help that much 15.gif

Industrial pollution is basically unavoidable.  You could try the Clean Air ordinance, but you won't start to see a decrease in pollution until you make the transition from dirty industry to high tech industry, which doesn't pollute.  For that you'll need more Sims, the majority of them wealthy.  I'd start laying down a good education system. =)

Actually, high tech industry DOES pollute (all industries do, which is realistic), but it's at much lower levels than the others.

Yo, does any of you people know how to get all the sunken highway parts and the walls by the sunken highway? Thanks.

To anwser your question on population, do you enough industry in your city, your demand should barly be positive.  Plus on dense residential you need to altranate com. and res. or your commute times will be to long.  But if you only have 6000 people in your city and you can't get it to grow you should probably start a different city next to it and come back later.  You have to grow out before you can grow up.  And their is a park pack that you can download in the exchange that will take care of all your pollution, but dont use the trash one because when you bulldoze it the trash will pull up uncontrollably.  I dont think you even have to plug it in though.
