Downloading 'buildings as props'

So, I need to download the 'buildings as props' thing from the Simcity website in order for one of my plugins to work, but whenever I open it, all that happens is a notepad document opening up with a whole bunch of mumbo jumbo I don't understand. 

Has anyone else had this problem? Any good ways to fix it?

Two things:

1) Was it a Zip file, or an Exe file? If it was a Zip file, you need WinZip to open the file. If it was an Exe file, then it appears that the file is corrupt.

2) You can get all of the patches and files that Maxis has released to date from this fansite: http://www.simcities.com

You must register with this site first, but you don't have to enter any product registration codes like the Official Maxis site requires.
