Hey everyone, it's been a while! 9.gif

I'de like to start off by saying that I know a similar thread has been started before. However, it's a very old thread and I thought a new fresh start might be appropriate.

Anyways, this is a similar thread to the one I started at Sporeum. Since Sporeum is such a small community, I felt at ST such a thread might work a tad differently. Basically, anyone who desires to share their digitally taken pictures, is welcome to do so here. It's only recentely that I became this  keen on taking photos of natural scenes. I felt an urge to share them with others.

Remember- Keep your images within the site's limitations (800*600 pixels) 2.gif

These are some images I took while I was away on vacation last week in the city of Netanya in Israel. A large amount of construction is taking place there at the moment, yet it still remains a beautiful resort town 4.gif

Welcome back Superstar! Those are some beautiful pictures, makes me glad my exams are over or I would be longing for my holiday even more after seeing those! I like that last one of the fish, snorkelling is good fun when you see fish up close but this has clearly been taken from a boat or a rock or you were padelling! The guy jet-skiing is cool too, the sea looks so blue, fresh and inviting, I wish I could be there now! Great pictures, and it's good to see you around again!

Nice photos you guys! Glad to see others are sharing pictures as well 4.gif

I enjoy taking macro shots immensely. I don't know why, but there is something about capturing that minor detail the regular eye cannot grasp. I posted these photos on Sporeum as well, but most of you haven't seen them yet.

Superstar: I know what you mean, its good to love the little things 9.gif  Loved the shot of that bug!  And the butterfly one was cool too.  Love the focus and colour.

For Mother's Day I made my Mom a slideshow of the flowers blooming in our garden. I use my brother's digital camera, it is a very good camera. I like to take pictures, but I'm not very good at it. 28.gif

    Here are a few:

    Nice photos everyone!

Here is a cool pic I captured last Friday. This bug was only 1Cm large, yet the detail in the pic reveals so much! 9.gif

    Sweet pics everyone!

Hym- I'm so glad you didn't let your intimidation from my pics keep you from posting! It only makes me feel better knowing others have photos to share as well! 9.gif

For a bird that wouldn't stay still, you got quite a decent shot. You nicely captured its profile! And that little fly creature also looks cool! Please, do keep sharing!

Since you posted a pic of a bird, here are a few shots from a bird observatory I was at two weeks ago with my biology class. Oh, and about the last pic...yes, it did 18.gif

    Great photos everyone! 9.gif

___idiotbox- I'm using a Nikon Coolpix 5900. It's a compact point and shooter, but it can handle some excellent shots!

M-SIL- Your photos are truly impressive. You must be using quite a high quality camera to have achieved those night scenes. Night scenes are always harder to capture, especially if your camera is not adequate. Shutter release speeds are required to be faster in those kind of shots, and your camera did a beautiful job at that! 19.gif

Here is just a quick pic of my dog taking a nap!

Cool pics of your homeland. (By the way, stay safe when your over there 2.gif ) After all with the events that have taken place in the past week on your "doorstep", there's just another adequate reason why the Middle-East is becoming more and more unsafer....
