Can someone enlighten me on how to download Regions?

I followed the tutorial I found on how to do it, but I cant even get far enough to where it seems MOST of the problems occur.

I cant get the file to show up on my Region selection in game. I put it in the correct file (region) but it just doesnt show up. I tried creating a new region, and then going and doing the ctrl+alt+shift+r deal, and it said something about the JPEG being too big (1567 or something like that) and that I needed to make it 1028 (or something around there)

I changed it, and now it just doesnt do anything...i cant figure out what the problem is!

Also, is there a way to find out what Plugin I downloaded that im missing a dependent package for? I keep getting these boxes to pop up, which I know means im missing a dependendent plugin, but i cant figure out which plugin it is!

If you create a new region in the game, it puts the default config.bmp file in the folder. Your custom region needs a different size, to match the grayscale.

The ratio between the grayscale, and the config.bmp is 64 to 1 plus 1 pixel. If you downloaded a region it should have come with the proper size config file, just make sure it is named config.bmp. Make a new subfolder in the region folder, and name it what your region is named. Copy the proper config file in it. Then do the ctrl+alt+shift+r key strokes. Make sure the name of the grayscale appears in the selecition box below the file list.
