As this topic is called: can i turn a mosaic into one complete picture? with that i don't mean if it's possible, but if i could still post it on ST, because the limitations are 800 x 600. I've took 4 pictures, then opened photoshop, and made the file 800 x 2600, and there i pasted the 4 pictures, so it's a mosaic. I'm asking this, first of all, because i don't know if other people do this to make mosaics, and also, i'm not good with photoshop!! so this was a huge acomplishment for me already, so a need to know if i could even post this mosaic in my city journal. and if not, i'dd have to figure out another way to make mosaics.
cheers, natuurzoon.

Post the link to the picture on your CJ if you want people to see the whole image, you could make a thumbnail image too if you want.

To make a mosaic. Do the following,

Take your screen shots.

Put them into photoshop and combine them into one huge image. And crop the messy edges off.

Then chop it up again and turn it into st compatible sized peices.

Then when you make your post, make sure there is no space between the peices and it looks like one image again...

Practice on a private topic to make sure you get it right first.   If you run in to trouble, feel free to PM me.

well, i wrote a mosaic tutorial, it is now on the omnibus, i included a part how to separate mosaics in the tutorial so the multiple pictures can be posted in simtropolis, i think this is what you're looking for:

well, i think your tutorial is perfect, but the fact is, you have a different program, i have jasc paint shop pro. when i for example press ctrl and r, no ruler shows up, and i have absolutely no idea were the Marquee tool is! in fact, i have no idea how that program works, so cutting the picture in multiple segments is pretty difficult for me.

Maybe I don't understand what you are trying to do, but why go though all these hoops with photo editors when all you need is a table with all the white space stuff suppressed.  Any HTML make up editor can do this, and many of them are free.  You can also do it directly on this editor while you are entering your post.

You said you're using photoshop. So here's what I do.

First I resize the canvas size so the width is 800. This will clip the sides smooth for you. Then I use the box select tool and drag a box that is roughly 600 or less. (i guesstimate) Then once you have that selected, I go ctrl +c to copy, create a new image (it will automatically be the size you copied) Then paste it and name it image1 or something like that. Then go to selection > Invert Selection. Then go to Image > Crop

Now repeat the process naming the new ones image2 image3 etc until you have no original image left.
