I believe people who do not upload on the exchange should not have the right to comment. Why? Because people can comment nasty things to any Batter which can discourage any Batter from Bating. And the People who comment nasty, don’t even try to Bat because there to lazy to learn.  Don’t take it personal, I want to hear your thoughts.>>

What about all of us who don't BAT/mod/whatever that want to praise the good work of others?  Or those that want to offer constructive criticism?  What if I download a lot and then find that it doesn't work for some reason, and would like to alert the creator so that it could be fixed?

You say that batters could be discouraged by nasty comments, but it works both ways. How many batters/modders would have kept up their work if they weren't being encouraged by comments of praise?  How many great works would never have come to light because their creators quit trying, because they put in so many hours of work for seemingly nothing?

Why punish the whole community for the indiscretions of a few people who have been careless with the comment button?  There are other channels to go through to deal with posts and comments that are inappropriate.  Report them to a moderator if they're truly offensive, or just ignore them.

Teddah your right in many ways, for example constructive criticism. Yet I belive its better to PM the cretor and or try to Bat your self. I belive some people should be careful when commenting because BATing can take a lot of work. But you have a good concise speech Teddah.

Start a thread in the BAT - Open Discussion and you'll get a lot of good feedback.  Also, make sure to have a thicker skin.  Random people from the internet saying mildly bad things about a building you made for Sim City should not hurt your feelings.
