I couldnt find them in Omnibus, BTW.

Q1 What are the stats for the max speed of different transit tiles?

Ex. Street, highway, RHW, monorail, etc

Q2 What is the minimum revenue from a tile of R$, and C$?

Q3 I tried getting USGS data for a new region, but after selecting and pressing OK in the Ctrl+Alt+Shift+R menu, I get nothing. The region is still flat, and the clouds are passing by as usual. Is this normal?

Q4 Where do you get those night lighting lots from anyway?

Thanks.

There is a recent thread that points to a able of speed info.  YOu should look for it.

Good question.  I think it is zero.

You have to use IE5 or 6 for the USGS stuff, with appropriate secutity permissions.  Consider it broken.

Many lots have night lights.  You need the night light fix from the home site, simcity.com.

KingSimCity:  In future please do not hi-jack someone's thread.  It confuses the issue(s).

A tile is 16m long.  I don't think  you can do a draggable bridge in gmax.  That means you will have to have a fixed, transporation enabled structure for it to be of any use.

Ur...I was talking about SC4 not responding to the grayscale file.

And I also meant (in the revenue question) the minimum from a developed building.

Also, I found the night light lots in STEX.

(5th page of the search result for "light")

How do you mean not responding?  Gray scales have to be rendered properly and accompanied by a proper configuration file (config.bmp).  Please tell us about your gray scale problem in more detail.

I got everything in order in the Regions folder (the My Documents one) with the config.bmp in the folder, which I created.

I load the region in SC4, press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+r to get the half finished open menu, get the grayscale in my C drive (.jpg file) , click OK, and SC4 acts as if I did nothing. The clouds just keep rolling by, and I have full access to all menus, which isnt according to Omnibus which said itll take about 15 to 20 mins to calculate a region. I waited still, and the region is still a flat poece of land after 30mins.

Make sure when you select the grayscale, that the file name shows in the box below the list. Otherwise you didn't get it selected, you may need to type the name in the box.

You should check the properties of the .jpg.  Some of them I have downloaded have been  RGB.  If that is the case, you can fix it using Landscape Designer or Photoshop or the GIMP.

    OK, now it works.

Took about 10mins to calculate the altitudes though, not 15mins.

    Thanks
