Can anyone tell me how to build a highway along the redline?

There isn't enough space to build a clover at point A due to the landscape of the bridge's end, but I want to complete the highway network from east to west, as well as south.

Any good suggestion? Thank you very much!!!

P.S. I am a new comer from HK and I really appreciate the stuff in this site.

Do you have the the Rush Hour expansion or Deluxe Edition? If So, you can use the T-intersection instead of the cloverleaf.

I think you wouldn't be able to build a bridge there without doing some major demolishing. You'll have to remove the on-ramps on both sides, and use the t-intersection to allow west and south access on both sides too. If you don't have the Rush Hour expansion or Deluxe, you'll either have to stick to building a highway bridge and removing the southern northern lanes (whatever! the parts of the highway that exit your town), or use an ordinary road bridge, or live everything as is.

EDIT: I noticed the compass was pointing downwards. Sorry.

You probably will not be able to connect the East-West highway with either of the North-South highways by using a T-intersection and still having a bridge without major terrain modifications.

You may be able to have an alternative though. A ground highway with perpendicular onramps for a one way road loop may work. If you have the NAM, you can create an interchange with the one way road and then an overpass over the highway. With one way roads and a little trial and error you can probably make it work, just keep in mind that as your city grows, it will probably need to be replaced as one way roads cannot handle anywhere near the volume of traffic that a highway can.

i have 2 suggestions

1- what is the view of the other tile, it might be easier to do it in the next region tile

2 destroy the on ramps then demolish some of the houses that are across the bay and then use a t-intersection as stated by deever to connect the two highways

hope it helps

I would have to agree with the last two posts, however, since there's no real expansion going on on the West side of your river, use a level graded ground hwy across, and a slightly modified interchange, a clover leaf wouldn't work in that such small area nearest the border... I also agree to take out on-off ramps to your road... using the NAM ramps, you still should have a good system, without compromising your Res area. Since your building a bridge in that area, keep an eye out on the height of the bridge, to allow ships or ferries to go through. Good Luck

I decided to complete the highway in the next region. as it is still empty

By the way I want to make an avanue - highway on-off ramp at point A.

Is it possible to do so with the aid of NAM?

I can't see this option in the menu.

Thank you so much for your kind help

I have found a very easy way to create 4 way highway intersections without taking up a ton of space.  What you do is build the highways with no interchange first; then you go back and create 2 T highway intersections, one on each highway.  Then you connect the intersections with another highway.

It is a bit hard to explain but ive got a diagram which may help!

Well, you could not make a highway bridge in first place. connect the offramp/onramps by road, make a bridge on road, connect it to the other offramp. (If your city is big, then it may have over traffic congestionissmiss)

Just curious, but why couldn't he make a highway bridge?

PS: Sorry if I'm missing something obvious, I just finished a research paper and I think that if anyone even alludes to MLA for the next month, I'm gonna kill them.
