Very strange indeed, ive had this problem since i first got SC4 over 4 years ago. Sometimes when i go to place some stuff in a row lets say some 1x1 park tiles. I cant place anymore after around 10 as it shows the red "no can't put here" thing, but if i scroll around rapidly and come back i can. This often wastes me time as i am a nut for Jeronijs walls and other random suburban things.

I turned visual effects to low and i noticed that this was bieng caused by the 1x1 park thinking its a 4x4 tile and cant obviously be placed untill i wizz it around and refresh it...

Any ideas why this happens ?

Congratulations!  You have discovered an undocumented feature of the program, otherwise known as a bug.  I have noticed this, even with things like bus stations.  Your work-around of scrolling your piece about is one of the solutions.  The other is to unload and reload your cursor.

No sarcasm intended.  We don't have access to the code, and cannot condone anyone patching it.  We have an agreement with EA to refrain from reverse engineering the game.
