Something about CJ movie standarts ...

There are many movie standarts today (*.mov, *.avi - etc.). But my mind and my offer - we need in Simtropolis CJ's one standart - for CJ movies, because no reasons for many movie readers (Quicktime, Windows, Video coverter, K-LiteCodec Pack and many many more ...)  programs at one Comp !
And what do you think about this ?

You mean create a movie format for simtropolis, sort of like a Simtropolis media player? That would be a bit difficult in my honest opinion, the site's struggling to stay alive as it 5.gif.

He wants to pick one existing format for everyone on the site to use. While that would be nice, its not going to happen. Most CJ "movies" i've seen so far are just flash slide shows, and as such are easy to play. Probally the best thing for anyone wanting to post a movie to a CJ is to just upload that movie to you tube and link to it. That way the format you made the movie in doesn't matter because it will be playable using the you tube flash player. Also you get free high speed hosting that doesn't hog simtropils' bandwith.

or upload it to reever or Google video... flash players are the most universal of all the OS.

Hi, liryon I think you understand me - but try show may be CJ Nekominenkoku - this demand Quicktime,

Now I have some movie players on my Comp - Windows, Quicktime, K-LiteCodec Pack, Adobe Flash Player (for YouTube) ...

Tomorrow I'll can download still more than 20 another simple programs - but I want see movies and video from CJ's artists with one soft ...

P.S. Only Moderator decide about this theme - no another ( it's for you granto93) ......

Seems a bit rediculous to me. A lot like the dependency debate.

If people don't want to provide material up to the standards of the community, you can't force them. If you want to see it, you've got to do the leg-work. We are just exchanging things freely. Any arbitrary attempt to limit people's contributions in the name of the community is ultimately a harm to the community.

While quicktime is obviously the choice for the movie friendly Macs (which I know are responsible for a larger portion of CJ movies than of Mac versions of the game because of their ease), there are any number of choices for PC users (each with their respective advantages and disadvantages for still pic vs. action intensive and size vs. quality issues). I just can't see how limiting this would be productive.
